Prompting tips
Most importantly, the Context Provider can help your agent understand why a feature was implemented or a decision was made. Your agent can understand what is implemented by looking around in the code itself, but does not have the reasoning for the implementation. The specification and reasons for the implementation are well documented in Jira issues.
NB! Your agent chooses which tool to use based on your prompt. If you're not seeing the results you want, you can instruct the agent more directly.
Examples for what the Context Provider is useful for:
- Explain why a product package has an alias field.
- What was the reason for implementing hubs as web services?
- Why are EVC parking fees billed as cost modifiers rather than having a separate parking type?
Examples where the Context Provider most likely won't be used:
- How do I use the S3 client implementation to fetch files?
