New, better and more capable AI tools and services are launched daily. While these tools are great for productivity, they have not been properly procured (ie we have no signed agreement) nor approved by our Information Security team.
Why this is a risk
- Data Capture: These tools process everything you you feed into it. Without a security review, we cannot verify if they are storing our data or using it to train their AI models.
- Meeting/Voice tools -> Audio Keylogging: Because these tools transcribe continuously, they function similarly to a keylogger, potentially capturing sensitive passwords, PII, and proprietary company strategy.
Please pause the use of these tools immediately until they undergo a proper security assessment.
